Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement

1. CONFIDENTIALITY. The content revealed through this match is confidential information shared for the purpose of evaluating potential research collaboration.

2. NON-USE. Neither party will use the other's disclosed Knowledge Objects to file IP applications, publish papers, or develop products without the disclosing party's written consent.

3. NON-DISCLOSURE. Neither party will share the other's disclosed Knowledge Objects with third parties without written consent.

4. DURATION. These obligations continue for 3 years from the date of disclosure, or until the information becomes publicly available through no fault of the receiving party.

5. PERMITTED USES. Discussion of potential collaboration, joint research planning, and co-authorship negotiations are permitted.

6. ATTRIBUTION. Any use of disclosed Knowledge Objects in subsequent work requires attribution to the original author (ORCID iD).

The Research Network

Published KOs enter the network where they're matched against complementary work from other researchers. The matching engine looks for:

Cross-domain connections — methods or findings from different fields that could apply to your work
Complementary expertise — researchers working on problems your methods could solve
Bridgeable gaps — the most valuable matches are often between adjacent-but-separate disciplines

Attribution & Ownership

Every KO is:

Signed with your ORCID identity
Timestamped at creation
Content-addressed with a SHA-256 hash
Independently verifiable — click any hash to expand provenance details and re-verify client-side

You can download provenance receipts for any KO — self-contained JSON proof files you can store anywhere. Use Export to download your entire library with full verification data.

Your ideas are provably yours. NanoPub never claims ownership of your intellectual contributions.

Tips

Be specific — "sequential pH-temperature modulation for protein folding" extracts better than "protein idea"
Paste paper abstracts for richer extraction (4-8 KOs per abstract)
Negative results are valuable — publish what didn't work
Check matches regularly — new connections appear as the network grows
